First Tour Announced:: What started as a road trip across the United States has somehow morphed into an East Coast Tour! Girl Named, along with Mr. Andrew and opening for our good friend Adam Balbo during the last days of August and the first week of September. Be sure to check out both of these awesome songwriters' music, and if you're in the area try to make it out to some of these shows! (More shows will be announced in the coming weeks, so sit tight!)

Hey Liebe was reviewed on The Morning After Pills blog and has also been on the front page for the last two days! Here's an excerpt:

T sings and plays folk-threaded rock with a genuineness that transforms her songwriting into a story-telling experience... The album is full of romantic notions of foreign places, tales of growing up, and the inevitable accounts of love that follow.

A very nice review. Thank you Kristen! Be sure to check out this blog: The Morning After Pills (http://themorningafterpills.com)

Hey Liebe just got a review in the music blog Raindrop Residence! Here's an excerpt:

I really like it for two reasons. One being that most of the songs are about romance in one way or the other but the lyrics are not cheesy or cliche...It’s really recommended if you like your music sunny-side-up with a hint of indie folk semi-acoustic goodness.

Thanks guys for the awesome review! All followers of Girl Named T should read and get into this blog, it's all about local music in the California Bay Area.

I received some very happy news last week that I (a Girl Named T) would get to play a short set opening for my friend Johanna Koons, and then play a set closing for that same aforementioned friend (as the bass player for Please Do Not Fight).

Not only do I enjoy Johanna Koons' as a genuinely nice person, I also am a big fan of her music and especially her video series (youtube.com/IsoscelesIcicles). In them you sense her voice and sincerity are far more mature than her youthful looks would imply. I haven't seen her in a spell, but I imagine that everyone in Mountain View will be showing up for this very special show.

Well folks, here it is: the long-awaited release of my first full-length album! I had a blast recording nine new songs (and revisiting one old classic) with my friend and producer/engineer Mike Walti, and I have to say I am very happy with how they turned out. You can listen to them online for free, or download them to your computer, both options are available at girlnamedtmusic.bandcamp.com.
